Taylor Swift Chiefs away games are back in the spotlight after the singer didn’t appear at Lumen Field on Sunday night. Seattle beat Kansas City 20-3 on October 25, and fans spent the evening waiting for a broadcast shot of Swift that never came. She has attended all three Chiefs home games this season, but she hasn’t been to a single road game. Neither she nor her husband, Travis Kelce, has explained why.

Was Taylor Swift at the Seahawks Game in Seattle?
No. Swift never appeared on the Sunday Night Football broadcast, The Big Lead reported, and no outlet placed her in Seattle. Her most recent appearance came at Arrowhead on October 18, when she watched the Chiefs beat the Chargers from a suite alongside Caitlin Clark and Este Haim, according to Yahoo.
The night went poorly for Kansas City. The Seahawks handed the Chiefs their first loss of the season, ESPN reported, and The Big Lead called it the Chiefs’ worst offensive showing under Patrick Mahomes since 2021. Kelce caught four passes for 44 yards, and NBC Sports noted that he moved to fifth on the NFL’s all-time receptions list.
Why Is Taylor Swift Not at Chiefs Away Games?
Most outlets cite security, although nobody has confirmed it. A source told Page Six in 2024 that Swift won’t go anywhere unless the venue has been “thoroughly scouted and secured in advance.” At Arrowhead, by contrast, she has a private suite where she watches with Donna Kelce and friends, The Big Lead noted.
For two seasons now, she has mostly stuck to home games. Her last trip outside Kansas City was Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans in February 2025, Athlon Sports reported. Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports said ahead of the Seattle game that she hadn’t yet made a road appearance this season.
Is Taylor Swift’s Absence a Sign of Trouble With Travis Kelce?
No. The couple married at Madison Square Garden on July 3, and People photographed Swift wearing her wedding and engagement rings in the Arrowhead suite on October 18, according to the Yahoo report. In addition, her Seattle absence matches a pattern that predates this game by two seasons. Without a statement from either of them, the simplest explanation is that she routinely skips road trips.
Will Taylor Swift Attend the Chiefs’ Next Away Game?
Nothing is confirmed. Kansas City travels to Denver on November 1 and Atlanta on November 15, then plays at Buffalo on Thanksgiving, according to the full schedule. However, the Chiefs host the Jets on November 8 and the Cardinals on November 22, so Arrowhead looks like the likelier place to spot her.

FAQs
How many Chiefs games has Taylor Swift attended in 2026?
Three, all at home. She attended the September 14 game against the Broncos, the September 20 game against the Colts and the October 18 game against the Chargers, Yahoo reported.
Are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married?
Yes. They married on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York, The Knot reported.
Who sits with Taylor Swift at Chiefs games?
Donna Kelce usually joins her in the suite. On October 18, Caitlin Clark and Este Haim sat with her, and Athlon reported that Tom Cruise joined her earlier this season.
Did the Chiefs lose because Taylor Swift wasn’t there?
No. The Chiefs won both earlier road games without her and entered Seattle at 5-0, according to Yahoo Sports. The loss came from Seattle’s defense, which held Kansas City to 213 yards and 3-of-11 on third down, NBC Sports reported.
What the Pattern Says
Taylor Swift Chiefs away games remain rare, and Seattle fit that pattern. Security is the most cited reason, but the couple hasn’t confirmed it. Until they do, her next appearance will likely come at Arrowhead on November 8.
